Mission
The Quality of Life Technologies Center of the population of RAM has the following objectives:
Stimulate the exchange of knowledge and innovative experiences between the University of Madeira and SESARAM, EPERAM, as well as with other academic entities and with other national and international regions;
Boosting innovation and scientific production in the field of assistive technologies and rehabilitation;
Carry out studies that leverage and deepen knowledge in the field of assistive technologies and rehabilitation and result in the production of scientific evidence;
Promote the organization of multidisciplinary training programs such as seminars, conferences and exhibitions that address relevant and priority aspects in the area

UMa Investiga - RTP Madeira on the 2022/10/14
We were at "UMa Investiga" at the RTP Madeira. In this program, Sergi Bermúdez, Ana Lúcia Faria, Mónica Da Silva Cameirão and Jean-Claude Fernandes talked about LifeTech - the Quality of Life Technologies Centre of Madeira and the work carried out (http://lifetech.web.uma.pt/).
From "UMa Investiga": The University of Madeira is the Research Center par excellence in the Region. There are many works developed there that do not always have the publicity they deserve. This program aims to make known the work carried out by researchers and students, as well as their involvement with the economic and social fabric of RAM.
"LifeTech Madeira - The Quality of Life Technologies Centre of Madeira" on RTP Madeira
This is a joint venture of the Universidade da Madeira and the Health Secretary of the Madeiran Reginal Government that builds on 10 years of hard work of present and past NeuroRehabLab researchers as well as an endless list of health professionals from the SESARAM. This centre consolidates Madeira as a centre for innovation in rehabilitation and quality of life technologies, and aims to project it as a national and international reference centre, while tackling important real-world challenges for the population of Madeira.
UMa and the Regional Secretariat of Health and Civil Protection signed a cooperation protocol
The Rector of the University of Madeira, Sílvio Moreira Fernandes, and the Regional Secretary of Health and Civil Protection, Pedro Ramos, signed today, June 20, a Cooperation Protocol for the implementation of the Quality of Life Technologies Center of the population of the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
